About
Overview
Tanzy Fumitory an art project consisting of four wooden pavilions located in different places in Bøkkerparken in Larvik. The project has been prepared in collaboration with the curatorial group Sirene based on the art of the Larvik artist Chris Bould.
The four pavilions are shaped like archetypal houses of 3x3 meters in floor area, 2 meters to the cornice and 45 degree pitched roof. The houses have been given different locations in the park with orientation and rotation in differnt directions. The rotation means that two of the houses appear to be on the side and one of them upside down, while the fourth house stands in the usual way with the pitched roof facing upwards.
Three of the pavilions; A, B and D have seats and serve as lookout points. The last one; C is able to be used for music and other events and therefore has a water-tight roof, shielding walls, and doors that can be locked, and is surrounded by a large, circular stage.
