About

Overview
A temple for nature and oil, made of three Alaska Railroad oil tanks cut into 12 pieces. The temple structure stands opposite the FBI HQ, with a red Bright red interior contrasting the rusty and brutal exterior. The interior is made of a fireplace and 4 tons of oyster shells, the origin of all Alaskan oil.

The installation comments on the Western culture meeting Alaskan nature and native people; Finnish fur hunters and orthodox priests during the Russian period, and the Americans building and pumping oil today.
